FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PIPE RENOVATION
How does pipe renovation or relining work?
Tubus System accesses the old pipes through existing entries and from there; several layers of the glass fiber reinforced polyester are sprayed. This forms a seamless, self-carrying pipe structure, with an expected lifetime of 50 years. The newly renovated pipes are ready to be used the very same day.
Does Tubus System pipe renovation work in pipes in very bad condition?
Tubus System always performs a video inspection of all pipes before we start a pipe renovation. After that, we decide if a pipe renovation is possible or not. In general there are no problems with holes in the pipes, since we have a unique repairing method where we repair holes from the inside.
Do you leave any warranty on the renovated pipes?
Yes, Tubus System leaves a 10 year functional warranty, or guarantee, on renovated pipes.
How much does a pipe renovation cost?
The price is depending on the circumstances around each and every unique project. A quote will be based on an onsite inspection and the technical drawings for that specific object. In general, you could say that the price will be lower per object, the more similarity there are between the objects. The real benefit with relining by Tubus System is that your tenants, or ongoing business activities, can stay in place throughout the pipe renovation. There is no need to evacuate anyone!
What happens if a pipe breaks when a pipe renovation is performed?
Normally, we repair the pipe from the inside using an unique and patented solution for hole repairs. Then, we spray our glass fiber reinforced polyester over the repaired area, and the pipe’s functionality is restored.

How long time does a pipe renovation take?
The general duration for an average sized apartment is usually one day and when the pipes are completed they can be used the very same day! When renovating a vertical, the building’s main sewage system needs to be disabled during 1-2 days.
