Cookie policy
This cookie policy is intended to inform you of how we, [Tubus System International AB] with company registration number [556728-4319] (“Tubus System”), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (www.tubussystem.com). To make this policy easier to read, we will refer to all these technologies as cookies, where not otherwise specified. We want to provide as much information as possible to you about the cookies, what the cookies do and why – so you can make an informed decision, whether you want to consent to cookies or not.
Please take a moment to read and understand our cookie policy. If you want to know more about how we process your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a very small text file that the website you are visiting requests to download and save on your computer, tablet, smartphone, or other device. The cookie technology allows the website to recognise your device and store some information about your preferences or previous actions and are used in numerous ways. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information on visitor behaviour to the owners of the site.
There are two different kinds of cookies – persistent cookies and session cookies. A persistent cookie remains on your device until its specific expiry date has passed (or until you delete cookies manually in your web browser). Session cookies are temporarily stored in a device’s memory during your visit to a website and will expire at the time you close your web browser.
Further, a cookie can be a so called ‘first-party’ or ‘third-party’ cookie and that refers to the website or domain that places the cookie. First-party cookies are set directly by our website. Tubus System also uses third-party cookies, that are set by a domain other than our, since our website incorporates elements from other sites, such as HubSpot functionality.
Should your email client accept it, we track the success rate of our marketing emails via HubSpot, by embedding an invisible one-pixel image into the email message. When you view the email and the images load, we receive a notification that the email has been opened.
2. Consent to set cookies
The use of cookies is regulated by the Directive on privacy and electronic communication (2002/58/EC) and the General Data Protection Regulation (EU/2016/679).
You have the option to consent for us to set cookies, per category of cookies or per individual cookie. This is easy to do through our cookie management plug-in on the website. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and our cookie manager will be available for you to change your settings.
There are two exceptions, where consent is not asked for or needed: Cookies that are essential to the communication and rendering of the website and cookies to provide an online service on your request, for example language selections, will always be used. We call these cookies Strictly Necessary cookies.
3. Which types of cookies we use and why
Strictly Necessary cookies
Cookies necessary for transmitting information to you, either as part of the communication standard or after you specifically request an optional functionality, such as changing what language is used, are so called Strictly Necessary cookies. The website and/or the requested functions simply will not function without them, which is why they are not optional and will always be used.
Marketing cookies to give you more relevant information
With your permission, we use cookies set by third parties to target our advertising efforts more accurately and provide you with more relevant marketing material from us. The information collected includes your use of our website, what links you click on and what actions you take on our website. We then create target group lists for marketing our services to you on other websites. Some of these third parties use their own cookies to track how many people have seen a particular ad, or to track how many people have seen it more than once. The website and company that generates these cookies have their own cookie and privacy policies, linked below.
Analytics to optimize our website
We use Analytics cookies from providers that help us measure how our website is used, such as Google Analytics, which helps us improve our website by reacting to how it is used. The data we collect includes what region you are visiting from, as well as what device, operating system and internet service provider you use, how many visits you have made to our website and what specific web pages, what links you have clicked on and what actions you have taken (e.g. submission of an inquiry form).
Functional cookies
Some cookies are used to enhance functions on our website or to help us communicate with you. We call these Functional cookies. Examples are reCAPTCHA cookies that help us confirm that a human being is sending us information rather than a web-bot or malicious program.
4. Personal data collected through cookies
A cookie can gather a lot of different information, including personal data, depending on its purpose. Tubus System mostly use cookie data on an aggregated level and for statistical purposes. Personal data is used in advertising efforts and to keep track of your chosen settings on our website. Cookies can include the following information:
- Browser information
- IP address
- Click path
- Date and time of visit
- Demographic data
- Device identifiers
- Hardware/software type
- Internet service provider
- Number of ads seen
- Serving domains
